The Role
We are looking for a Design Associate who operates at the intersection of craft, marketing strategy, and AI. This is not a traditional design role. You will concept and execute creative work, run and optimize paid campaigns across major platforms, and use AI tools as a core part of how you work, not as an afterthought.
You will be embedded in projects with full creative and strategic context, collaborating directly with clients and internal teams from brief through performance analysis. The expectation is that your work looks great and performs. We collaborate most often across Los Angeles and New York City, so proximity to either city is a plus, though exceptional remote candidates are still considered.
What You'll Do
Design and produce creative assets for paid and organic channels across social, display, video, and web.
Plan, launch, and manage paid media campaigns across TikTok, Meta, Google, Bing, and emerging platforms.
Use AI tools for generative image, copy, video, and workflow automation as a native part of your creative and production process.
Analyze campaign performance data and translate insights into creative and targeting optimizations.
Collaborate with creative directors and strategists from brief through delivery and reporting.
Build and iterate on ad creative, testing hypotheses and scaling what works.
Maintain brand consistency and creative quality across all paid and owned touchpoints.
Present work and performance results clearly to internal teams and clients.
What We're Looking For
0-5+ years of experience spanning design and digital marketing.
Proven hands-on experience managing paid campaigns on TikTok Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and Microsoft Advertising.
Strong design skills with a portfolio that demonstrates both craft and performance-oriented thinking.
Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; motion or video editing skills are a strong plus.
Genuine comfort using AI tools including image generation, LLM-assisted copywriting, and workflow automation as part of daily work.
Ability to read performance data such as CTR, ROAS, CPA, and CPM and connect it back to creative decisions.
Self-directed ownership of a campaign or creative workstream end-to-end.
Clear communication that translates performance data into creative strategy.
Nice to Have
Experience with programmatic display or connected TV advertising.
Background in e-commerce, DTC brands, or performance marketing agencies.
Familiarity with marketing attribution tools and analytics platforms such as GA4, Triple Whale, and Northbeam.
Experience building AI-assisted creative pipelines or automating production workflows.
Knowledge of SEO principles and how paid and organic strategies intersect.
